Your ClassroomMrs. Wood believes that everyone has something important to share. In our classroom, your opinions and ideas are valued, and we want to hear what you think. When you share with the class, you are encouraged to speak freely, but you will also be encouraged to treat each other with respect, particularly when someone's opinion or thought differs from your own.
It is also important to know that Mrs. Wood likes to keep her classroom clean. She will also expect you to practice strong organizational skills, as well as keeping your personal space tidy. You will have many opportunities to discuss academic topics with fellow classmates, but there will also be time for independent work. Mrs. Wood wants to see that you can work as part of a team, as well as independently. |
About our ClassroomOur ParaYour TeacherMrs. Wood is a graduate of UCLA, and received her teaching credential at Sacramento State. She LOVES to travel and lived abroad after finishing college. She is a lifelong learner, and continues to take classes to help her improve as an educator. This summer, she took a 3D printing class through the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
Mrs. Wood enjoys the outdoors and spends time with her family camping, hiking and kayaking. She has a wonderful husband, Adam, two sons, Collin (3 1/2) and Rhett (1 1/2), and dog named Aussie (full name: Auswald Brutus Swishy McWiggleBottom). She has lived in the Bay Area most of her life, but was born in Placerville ("Old Hangtown"). The two things that Mrs. Wood absolutely wants to see from her students are honesty and effort. The rest falls into place when those two things are present. |
